EPA as a resident is a wonderful experience. It not only helps immensely with improvement in your clinical skills, but is also a great resume' booster. I've had multiple employers tell me that they wanted to hire me because I had experience outside of my residency. The environment is very supportive and the community accepts you with open arms. The local doctors are happy that you're relieving some of their pressure and are always more than willing to help. Overall, EPA is a fantastic experience.
